Your Prayer Guide

This page is designed as a simple guide for prayer when using your Sling & Stone Supply prayer kit.

When you arrive in a hotel room, office, dorm, or temporary space, take a few quiet moments before unpacking or settling in. Begin with awareness, not urgency.

Every space you enter is already His.

In accordance with Catholic practice regarding sacramentals, Benedict medals are to be blessed or exorcised by a priest, and any holy water and holy salt used in this practice are to be properly blessed. Candles intended for prayer are also to be blessed whenever possible. These practices are included so that this guide is used in a manner consistent with the Church’s liturgical and devotional life.

Step One:
Set the Space

Place your crucifix, candles, and devotional items where they can be seen.

Pause for a moment.

Acknowledge the presence of Christ and intentionally begin your time of prayer.

Step Two:
Pray Deliverance Prayer

Pray the following:

“In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Our help is in the name of the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.

Lord, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.

Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior and our God, by the sprinkling of holy water, drive away from this room any unclean spirit that may disturb the peace of Your servant(s).

In Your mercy, forgive and cleanse whatever sin may have been committed in this place, and wash it thoroughly by Your Most Precious Blood.

Send forth Your holy angels to watch over Your servant(s), that we may remain undisturbed in Your peace and persevere faithfully in Your will.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”

Step Three:
Bless the Space with Holy Water

Bless the space with holy water by tracing or lightly sprinkling it across doorways, along windows, and near the bed or resting area.

As you do this, pray quietly: “Lord Jesus Christ, fill this place with Your peace, Your presence, and Your protection.”

Step Four:
Bless the Space

Pray the following:

“Lord Jesus Christ, our God, bless and seal with Your Most Precious Blood this hotel room, bedroom, home, or place in which I (we), Your servant(s), will dwell.

By Your grace, shield me (us) from every attack of the adversary, that Your servant(s) may rest in tranquility and be renewed in strength to serve You faithfully and devoutly.

Grant that, remaining faithful to You, we may be counted among the blessed in Your Kingdom, where You live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever.

Amen.”

Step Five:
Sprinkle Blessed Salt

Sprinkle a small amount of blessed salt across thresholds, doorframes, windowsills, around your entire bed, and in the corners of your room.

As you do this, pray quietly, “Lord Jesus Christ, I entrust this place to You and ask that it be set apart for Your peace.”

Step Six:
Pray the Our Father

Pray the following:

“Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy name.

Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Amen.”

Step Seven:
Pray the Hail Holy Queen

Pray the following:

“Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope.
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve.

To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.

Turn then, most gracious Advocate, your eyes of mercy toward us,
and after this exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Amen.

Step Eight:
Pray the Angel of God

Pray the following:

“Angel of God,
my guardian dear,
to whom God’s love commits me here,
ever this day be at my side,
to light and guard,
to rule and guide.

Amen.
